Diana Ionescu este absolventa a Universitatii Nationale de Muzica din Bucuresti si Guildhall School of Music and Drama din Londra. Diana Ionescu a concertat in cadrul unor festivaluri importante precum Verbier Festival, Progetto Martha Argerich-Lugano, Kyoto Music Festival, Festivalul George Enescu si St. Prex Classics Festival si in colaborari cu Belcea Quartet, Cvartetul Transilvan, soprana Teodora Gheorghiu si dirijorul Gabriel Bebeselea. Diana Ionescu este castigatoarea Marelui Premiu al Concursului International de Pian George Enescu, precum si a premiului de excelenta Alexis Weissenberg.
Diana Ionescu was born in 1981. She is a Romanian pianist and First Prize Winner of the prestigious George Enescu International Piano Competition, in its 2001 Edition. Diana Ionescu began studying the piano with Sanda Bobescu, a professor at the National Music Academy in Bucharest. Diana Ionescu was also a pupil of Olga Szell at the Georges Ensecu Institute. Diana Ionescu then entered Dan Grigore’s class at Bucharest’s National Music University, from which she graduated in 2003. She later trained under the guidance of Joan Havill at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Diana Ionescu regularly performs in Europe and has given concerts in Romania, various other European countries (Austria, Belgium, Great Britain and Switzerland), Russia, Japan and the United States. Diana Ionescu has recorded for Radio Bucharest, Radio France, Radio de la Suisse Romande, Russian National Radio and Romanian television.
