„Meditatiile unui fagot singuratic”, for solo bassoon – Cristian Bence-Muk; bassoon: Florin Carlejan
Cristian Bence-Muk won a scholarship of the Sigismund Toduta Foundation, in 1999 and of the Bach International Academy in Stuttgart, in 2000. He graduated his PhD studies in 2005, under the guidance of acad. prof. univ. dr. Cornel Taranu. Since 2005, Cristian Bence-Muk has worked as an assistant professor at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca. Cristian Bence-Muk was born in Deva, on the 31st August 1978.
In 2004, Cristian Bence-Muk has won the First Prize at the „Stefan cel Mare si Sfant – 500” national competition of creation for choir. In 2005, Cristian Bence-Muk won the Excellence Award for young composers by the National Union of Romanian Employers, in Bucharest. In 2006, Cristian Bence-Muk was awarded the National Composers and Musicologists’ Union Prize, for his chamber opera „Moara lui Califar”.
Cristian Bence-Muk’s works have been performed in Romania, France and Italy, also being recorded on CD and DVD. Cristian Bence-Muk has published choral pieces at different publishing houses in Cluj-Napoca, Oradea, Suceava, and abroad at Müller & Schade AG, Switzerland.
