… Second day of the masterclass.
Tomorrow we will even have food and drinks for the lunchbreak. Thanks to Professor Laurentiu Vlad, Vice-Rector of our university.
We have a good team of young volunteers: they are PR apprentices, they take photos, record the attendance, drive the English writers wherever they need to go. Amalia Calinescu, MTTLC PR, is tutoring them.
For the first time in three years, I feel spoilt: I really have help!
Tomorrow the six English writers are waiting for anyone interested in their poetry reading at the British Council [Calea Dorobanti nr 14, 19:45h].
That will be the rare moment when my students will understand, I am sure, that all a poet needs to be is genuine, and all a translator can do is not to spoil that personal touch—so delicate, so hard to translate into other words than those the poet chose.
This has been one of the days when I KNOW that there is no better profession than teaching, in this world.
