Unul dintre varfurile generatiei sale, s-a nascut la 11 septembrie 1982 la Bucuresti, intr-o familie cu traditii muzicale. De altfel, primele lectii de pian i-au fost predate de tatal sau, celebrul Nicolae Licaret, pentru ca mai apoi sa aprofundeze studiul acestui instrument in cadrul Universitatii Nationale de Muzica din Bucuresti, unde i-a avut mentori pe Dana Borsan, Viniciu Moroianu si Dan Dediu, cu ultimul abordand compozitia.
In paralel cu studiile la Conservatorul bucurestean, dar si dupa finalizarea acestora, s-a perfectionat la alte prestigioase institutii muzicale europene precum Universitatea “Mozarteum” din Salzburg sau Universitatea “Peabody” din Baltimore.
Laureat al multor concursuri prestigioase, din care pot fi amintite Concursul de pian “Yamaha”, Concursul International “Jeunesses Musicales” sau Concursul International “Lory Wallfisch”, si-a inceput de timpuriu activitatea concertistica, avand deja numeroase aparitii pe scene de prima marime din tara si din strainatate, atat in recitaluri cat si alaturi de orchestre prestigioase aflate sub bagheta unor dirijori ca Horia Andreescu, Jin Wang, Cristian Mandeal, Arie Vardi s.a.
Apreciat deopotriva de public si de specialisti, tanarul pianist abordeaza un repertoriu vast si complex ce l-a impus deja in lumea muzicala si il plaseaza printre muzicienii cu reale posibilitati de realizarea a unei cariere deosebite.

Pianist Andrei Licaret, son of Nicolae Licaret, was born in Bucharest and made his orchestral debut at the age of eleven. Since then Andrei Licaret has given concerts throughout Europe and the United States, winning prizes in several competitions, among them Jeunesse Musicales (1st Prize), Bucharest Yamaha (1st Prize), The Lory Wallfish Prize, 2nd Prize in Tel-Hai Competition and 2nd Prize in Shreveport Concerto Competition. Andrei Licaret’s teachers have included Gabriela Enasescu, Viniciu Moroianu, Dana Borsan, Dan Dediu (with whom he studied composition) and Jacques Rouvier. Andrei Licaret has been a regular student of Dmitry Bashkirov’s Mozarteum master-classes in Salzburg and also participated in the Steans Institute Program for Young Musicians at Ravinia Festival.
