Farewell to Cord & Gladys Klodt
A concert to bid farewell to our dear friends HE Cord Meier-Klodt and HE Abankwa-Meier-Klodt, who left Bucharest, given the completion their distinctive ambassadorial offices in Romania.
The recital took place on Sunday, 27th of June, at 10:00 at the Residence of the Swiss Ambassador in Bucharest.

Mădălina Pașol is a celebrated Romanian pianist, born in a musicians’ family. Her father was lead cellist in the Romanian Radio Orchestra, where her grandfather performed for over 40 years.
At age 9, she had her first orchestral appearance with the Chamber Sinfonietta Orchestra in the Romanian Athenaeum, performing the F Minor Keyboard Concerto by Johann Sebastian Bach.
She is an alumus of the University of Arts in Berlin and studied under Georg Sava and Pascal Devoyon. Winner and laureate of numerous international competitions, including ARD Munchen, Busoni Competition and Artur Schnabel, Mădălina Pașol has appeared on the most important European and Asian venues and recorded among others for Japan Television Production, RBB Kulturradio or the Romanian Television.
In Romania, she performed under the direction of Cristian Brâncuși, Ludovic Bacs, Iosif Conta, Jin Wang, Paul Popescu and Robert Houlihan among other.
Mădălina Pașol made a Dinu Lipatti Last Recital Tribute tour in Europe, appeared at the George Enescu Festival in 2017 and continuously promotes young artists at the International Institute of Arts, which she presides.
In November 2019, she opened a musical salon in Bucharest, Chopin&Champagne, a project initially started in Berlin, meant to make classical music more accessible and attractive, in an intimate atmosphere.
Silvia Micu is a Romanian soprano born in Brasov. Silvia begins her musical discourse with playing piano from an early age.
At 19 she starts musical studies at the National University of Music in Bucharest where, five years later, she gets a Masters degree in Opera and Lied. Winner of several prizes like ,,Peter Maag” prize for the best interpretation of an Mozart aria and the Philarmonic of Verona prize in the Maria Callas contest, first prize in Haricleea Darclee competition, first prize in Mihail Jora competition, etc.
Silvia continues training her voice under a very careful guidance of the renowned soprano Mariana Nicolesco and her debut on an operatic stage comes imediately after graduating, with the role of Musetta, in La Boheme, at the Bucharest National Opera House.
Soon after she starts singing on international stages debuting Susanna in Nozze di Figaro, Contessa in Nozze di Figaro, Mimi in La Boheme, Oscar in Un ballo in maschera, Almirena in Rinaldo, Frasquita in Carmen, Yvette in The Passenger, Adina in Elisir d amore and Norina in Don Pasquale. She collaborates with Transilvania Philarmonic, Sibiu Philarmonic, George Enescu Philarmonic, National Opera House Bucharest, Hessische Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Theater Chemnitz, Theater Pforzheim and National Danish Opera, Oradea Philarmonic, Haydn di Bolzano Philarmonic.
